Student Pitch Session & Award

The Student Pitch Session is dedicated to students and early-career researchers presenting projects that involve international collaboration or close cooperation with industry. Participants will pitch their ideas in a short, focused format to an audience of experts from academia, industry, and international partner organizations.

A Best Student Pitch Award will be presented to the most outstanding contribution. The jury will evaluate the pitches based on innovation, relevance, clarity of presentation, and the quality of the collaborative approach.

This session offers students an excellent opportunity to gain visibility, receive expert feedback, and connect with potential academic and industrial partners.

The best three pitches will receive:

  • €150 + certificate for 1st place
  • €100 + certificate for 2nd place
  •  € 50 + certificate for 3rd place
     

Please note the following guidelines

Your Short Abstract will be evaluated by the program committee, who will decide whether to include your presentation in the program.
You will be informed about the decision of the program committee in advance via e-mail.

The Short Abstract has to be submitted via the congress management system.

  • Abstract to be written in English
  • Max. characters is 1.500 characters
  • Please do not use uppercase letters for the title and equations in the text

We reserve us the right to make formal changes to your Short Abstract for publication (e.g. correction of upper and lower case in the title or the formatting of equations).

Option to add a CV to your submission:
The panel chair can use it to introduce you with some opening words prior to your presentation (name and title, current profession and current employer, education and career, membership, activities, interests and fields of work, and other personal information).

Length of Pitch: 10 minutes, followed by a discussion of 5 minutes

General instructions about presentations:
 

  • Please submit your pitch online at least one day before the event on the DKG-Cloud to which a link will be sent to you later or send it per Mail to congress@dkg.de.
  • The exclusive presentation format is Microsoft PowerPoint Windows (Version 2016 or newer). 
  • Only one file per presentation is accepted. Media such as video clips must therefore be integrated into the submitted files. 
  • Own laptops cannot be connected for organizational reasons
